About Me
After receiving a degree in Biomechanical Engineering from Syracuse University, I spent 6 years working as an engineer selling and supporting biomechanics equipment. In that time I developed a strong desire to learn more about how the human body worked, which led me back to school to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
By the time I graduated PT school, I realized that each person added their own unpredictable human element to the healing equation. I started to believe that things were not always black and white, but shades of grey.
I spent 10 years working in traditional PT settings. During those 10 years I became a mother, I dealt with the passing of close family members to cancer, found myself struggling to manage my own chronic neck pain, and realized I wanted to prioritize taking care of my family's health. I decided to take a break from my role as a practicing PT to explore other ways to heal myself, my family, and my friends.
Enter energy work...
Once I allowed myself to open up to the effectiveness of alternative modalities like MBSR, Emotion Code, Integrated Energy Therapy (IET), Ortho-Bionomy, Jin Shin Jyutsu, and Reiki, I started implementing them and seeing huge shifts in the emotional, mental, and physical states of myself, my family and my friends. I valued those healing journeys and I started to appreciate how unique each of our experiences are.
I believe that our health issues are certainly not black and white or even shades of grey, but rather unique colors of the rainbow.
I now live in the White Mountains of New Hampshire with my husband and daughter. When we're not working or schooling, we love to spend as much time as possible enjoying all the activities this beautiful area has to offer.
